No Duallys in Naples?

Naples is just beautiful. Actually, everything about Naples is gorgeous. The downtown area caters to those that are well-off. High end shopping with amazing cafes and restaurants lined the streets. The white sandy beaches just beyond downtown with their turquoise water ... breath-taking. The homes in this area are stunning with impeccably manicured gardens surrounding.. With all this being said, our dually, driving around Naples with Oregon plates, was quite entertaining for all. Finding parking for a vehicle this size was laughable.

They did not exist for a very good reason. Our boys could not believe the Bugatti’s, Bentleys, Ferraris and Aston Martins...yes our F350 dually was not the vehicle of choice there thus parking was not designed to fit such a large beast:). We would have loved to have walked downtown and maybe get a small bite to eat, however, with restaurants at 100% capacity and masks optional, we decided to save our money and continue to do all we could to NOT get COVID. It is so interesting to experience so many at ease with all that the world is enduring.

The highlight of Naples was visiting with my cousins Nick, Mayra, and their two beautiful girls. It had been many years so catching up was such a blessing! They just expanded their gorgeous, outdoor living area with a fabulous pool. The boys were in heaven (understand they have been competing for pool space at RV resorts in Florida with those 65 and older looking to lounge and tan at the not big enough to accommodate for COVID, RV pool area).

The boys also got to have some solid PE time learning how to knee board at a man-made lake less than a mile from where we were staying. They had a blast! We wished we had a few more days as they wanted to experience water skiing, but they were so thrilled to have so much fun without the pressure.

Sandie also had a blast at quite possibly the largest and cleanest dog park we have experienced. Sandie was not allowed on the beaches in Naples (shocking with the clientele that frequents here, I know), so this was a great alternative.

Everyone was happy in Naples :).
